Whoa! I’m back! I tell you, the holiday season really got me swamped.

Anyway, today I’m happy and excited to talk about the Virtual Assistant Seminar which took place in Taguig City, Philippines last November 20, 2012.

The day before the event I had this mixed feeling of enthusiasm and eagerness. It's as if the seminar made me felt thirsty for victory, and gave me confidence that through this “VA Seminar” I could gain triumph and freedom from being a traditional or conventional employee - the tedious and boring everyday routine, travelling to and from the house to the office.

Well It seems to me like the longing is finally over. I even had to excuse myself from work the night before the event to prepare myself -- since my job entails me to work always on a night shift.

The next day - the day of the seminar, I left the house early that morning as I have to locate and familiarize myself with the venue, and also I want to make sure I won’t be late.

The moment has come, the seminar started, and deep within I’m so happy to see Jomar live in the flesh and speaking in front of us, wow!

Prior to the event, Jomar and his VA’s (staff) have emailed me (and most probably other participants’) a soft copy of the scope of the entire VA seminar. And during the seminar he clearly explained in detail the content and all that is needed to know.

The “How’s”, “Why’s” and “When” were thoroughly defined in the seminar.

One thing I really liked about Jomar was his style of teaching, and true to what he always says; he would explain things in “layman’s term” -- very simple and non-technical, that’s why it’s easy to understand and absorb.

Maybe at first he would get me thinking at what he’s driving at, or at some point he would leave us with a puzzling question, or scenario for us to think of a logical answer. But eventually he would give us the answer and make us understand his point in a very logic way.

As expected, the seminar was a success.  It made me as feel as though I found the key.

But what’s the key? …Just follow what was instructed. Educate yourself with the guidelines given and have the right attitude. – And that’s what I’m going to do. I may be slow, but my strong desires say I’m going to get there!

And to you Jomar – you are one amazing person!

The start of being a Virtual Assistant

- a progress account (part 2) -

Just a few more days to go before the November 20 Virtual Assistant “Work-sa-bahay” Seminar starts and I’m really so excited. The feeling is so intense; it’s a mixture of excitement and enthusiasm as I look forward every single day waiting and longing to learn and experience a live seminar with “Jomar-The Guru”.

In case I haven’t told you, my line of work requires me to permanently work at night. And for this upcoming event, I made sure I was physically and mentally ready for it as I don’t want to waste time, money, and the opportunity to grace such an event.

I even had to excuse myself from work the night before the seminar, I had to, and that’s what I did.

Until finally the waiting game is over, the much awaited event of my life is about to happen. And I consider this to be the start of my career’s turning point. “Hello Work-sa-bahay! - Work from Home”, “Hello VA” here I come.

- a progress account (part 1) -

I consider myself a Net-savvy person, for several years now I've been doing a lot of browsing and surfing on the internet - reading articles, watching videos for educational and entertainment purposes, discovering new tools – software/programs, uploading and downloading files, doing research for further self-advancement and the likes.

I thought I knew it all, but I was wrong. Here comes something fresh and new to my vocabulary, my first time to come across the word "Virtual Assistant" - VA for short, that’s how they call it nowadays.

It all started when I got this email sometime in January of 2012 from a certain Bo Sanchez. A cousin of mine who belongs to Bo Sanchez’s circle of friends included my email to Bo’s mailing list. Bo Sanchez was known in the Philippines as a lay evangelist, preacher, author, entrepreneur, and celebrity.

And then one day, in one of Bo's emails which I regularly receive every now and then, he mentioned about a certain Jomar Hilario, and that he could help other people earn money through home-based work using the internet.

But my attention at that time was with Bo, because when I first saw and heard Bo preach on television I was amazed and captivated with his words, the way he explain things was simple and clear and yet it was meaningful and profound.

And so Bo’s email kept flooding my inbox, but I really don’t mind as I enjoy reading biblical scripts and Bo's messages.

But there it was again, another email from Bo Sanchez mentioning about Jomar Hilario. So I got a little bit curious, thought I’d give it a shot and check out the guy, and started reading a bit about Jomar, and later I found out that Jomar was a successful online marketer for several years now, and he wants to share his knowledge to be able to help others financially.

I got interested in what he has to offer. So in June of 2012 I began to search more about Jomar, his website and facebook account. Later, by end of August, I was searching for uploaded free recorded video seminar in youtube, it’s a seminar done in the internet which he calls “webinar” and that was the start. I chanced upon and listened to it, and before I knew it, I was searching for more webinars and downloaded all free webinar videos and continued to watch and listen.

After watching several videos I said to myself that it’s time to attend a live seminar and learn from the guru himself (Jomar) the trade and secrets of being a successful VA.

I’m a scheduled participant for the live VA seminar on Nov. 20, 2012. And in the coming months I’ll find out if what Jomar says is true.

And on my part, the determination, eagerness and willingness is here within me. And the end result remains to be seen.

I've created this article a week before the November 20 seminar to serve as my very first blog. I had this idea to jot down the events and development before, during, and after attending the seminar.

It took me more than one week after attending the seminar was I able to post this article due to the demand of my present workload. You could just imagine how the holidays are, Christmas is fast approaching, and I’m being bombarded by simultaneous event marketing collateral's needed for the year-end.

Anyway, It feels good to be able to start and post my first blog  ...and this is my journal.
